Steve Nichipor, BBA's owner and head guide has been hiking and climbing in the White Mountains for over 17 years. His love for the mountains has taken him backcountry skiing and climbing all over the U.S. as well as Baffin Island and Mexico’s volcanoes. His enjoyment of sharing his knowledge of the outdoors has brought him to the profession of mountain guiding, as a guide for the Appalachian Mountain Club, as an independent guide, and now the Ski and Avalanche Program Director for the EMS ADVENTURE SCHOOLS.

Program Philosophy and Goals
Skiing and climbing in the mountains are great ways to challenge yourself and explore the world. We offer outdoor skills instruction and guided trips to the mountains and cliffs of the White Mountains. Our courses teach outdoor skills and judgement with the goal of developing highly skilled, well-rounded mountaineers. Outdoor activities inherently involve risk. We teach participants to evaluate and manage this risk through development of technical skills, decision-making ability, and preparation with the proper equipment. Courses are active backcountry trips to some of the most spectacular alpine areas in the East. All courses can be custom tailored to help you attain your personal goals.
