Introduction to Waterfall Ice Climbing
Explore the steep, frozen world of New
Hampshire’s frozen waterfalls. We will start with basic skills of
crampon and ice axe use and belaying, and then progress to more advanced
techniques, including efficient movement on steep ice, placing and
removing ice screws, and techniques for climbing multi-pitch routes.
This course can be taken on its own,
or as a follow-up to our Introduction to winter Mountaineering. 2 or 3
days.

while learning to climb longer routes that include longer

The itinerary will be based on your previous experience and goals, but
will normally include at least one day climbing in Huntington Ravine.
You will learn about a variety of climbing skills necessary for alpine
